Shipping & Receiving

I got this 4"x4"x6" box in the mail and thought: Great! My external hard drive finally came in.

Nope.

That'd be the 2.5"x 1" pack of magnets I ordered, engulfed in bubble wrap and packing peanuts.

When I was tearing through the packaging all I could think of was the Portlandia skit in which the Cacao couple gets 4'x4'x4' box that contains something the size of a credit card.

3 days later and still no hard drive.

  1. Okay, as absurd as it sounds, there might be a legitimate reason to pack magnets like that. If you think of how the magnetic field is a lot bigger than the 2.5"x 1" of the magnets themselves and how that might have a negative influence on other parcels (such as hard drives).
