Inappropriate

Went snowshoeing for the first time. It was a lot of fun! I saw this awesome old growth stump in trees. Truth be told though in the picture it looks like an old growth dump.

Winter Blossoms

I'm not much of a horticulturist, so maybe flowers blooming mid winter is not so bizarre. Nevertheless, seeing these bushes with radiant blossoms in January encouraged me. 3 weeks out from Pgh, and the homesickness has set in-Thursday was rough. Then I passed these tenacious topiaries, and they filled me with hope.

Snowy Kiddos

MLK Jr. Day - In true AmeriCorps/ Non-profit world style. It was a day on, not a day off. But a good day none the less.  One of those days where I enjoy my job and feel like we're really doing something good. 300 people came out and enjoyed  ice skating for free.  And in true Pittsburgh fashion, I saw friends, and friends of friends, and friends of friends of friends, you know.
