Goslings

When Jen and I were kayaking, we saw a number of goslings on the shore. This time Ben and I found them chowing down on some grass. 28 if I remember correctly! It made us interested to learn about Goose culture as there were 4 geese guarding them, but clearly they weren't all theirs. If they made a honk all the goslings would gather and when they were stopped for too long they would plop down on the pavement. It was truly entertaining.

Creepy Geese

I'm currently waiting for my group of high schoolers to come learn geocaching on the North Shore. There are a gaggle of geese here that I think never leave. Not so migratory birds. We yinzers feed them too many French Fry salads. Basically we're dealing with obese geese. Anyway...I wanted to see how close I could get to them. I got so close that I sorta kicked one. Now they are all staring at me from over the hedge. I think they are plotting something. Hope my high schoolers get here soon.
