DJ Divine
On Wednesday nights, the Elks Club on the North Side of Pittsburgh opens its door (yep just one) for the public to come watch Pittsburgh Banjo Club practice. This is not the greatest photo, but it gives you a glimpse. My favorite part of the evening is when this lovely woman, DJ Divine gets up on stage with her feather boa and wows the crowd with some awesome tunes and a giant personality. Banjo night often gets crowded with both yinzers and hipsters, but last night it was just comfortably full. Probably because it was 7 degrees outside.

Can you believe in all my time in Pgh and all my love of Banjos (the music of my soul!) I never made it to Banjo Night. Tis sadly true and completely disqualifies for either hipster or yinzer status.
